The thought to see change in another human being’s life is amazing. Yet, the thought of noticing the metamorphosis in your life is even bigger. A change for the better and not the worse, way possible. Remember I communicated, the blog will have ups and downs along the way. Well, this is the upside of healing properly. When you are healed it allows you to hear from God clearer than before. God continued to place on my heart and allow me to see the symbolic meaning of a butterfly. Since the word metamorphosis continued to come to mind, let’s talk about how a butterfly can help in healing. First let’s recognize how there are many types of butterflies, along with color, size and even features. It appears the same as us humans how we are all unique in our own way. None of us react, think, or emotionally feel the same as another individual person. Which is why the butterfly is so special and unique. Side note I love butterflies as well as they bring joy.
When looking at the representation of a butterfly it goes through stages much like we do. There are many changes butterflies experience as well as length of time to transition into the next phase. As I am typing this, I am so excited to share this with you all because, how good God is. I ask that you bear with me as I try to convey what was given to share with you all. This word metamorphosis continued to come into my mind over and over until I written a poem about it. The word continued to appear so now I must write this here. In life there are changes that needs to occur but only in places, or situations we may not want to go. If we take the life of a butterfly and observe the behaviors of this beautiful creature, what do you notice? There is a time that most people do not recognize the caterpillar as it is overlooked and passed by. The butterfly does not begin to have true recognition until it transforms into a beautiful flying insect that we see.

This is the question, have there been times that you were overlooked because, what others did not notice inside of you? Where were you in that point of your life? How did it make you feel about yourself? Well, you are in the right place for the answer. God created you before you were formed in your mother’s womb, so he knew the plans of your life before you were even a thought. Just as much as the caterpillar must go into a dark space…we too must do the same. In order for God to mold and shape us as he sees fit, we must isolate from others. It’s in that dark place God begins to minister, feed, and pour into what plans he has over each of our lives. If you pay close attention to the phases of a butterfly, we as people can relate. It can take years for healing, to get to a place that we are at peace and love who we become.
BECOMING is an interesting word because we must ask ourselves who are we “becoming” during the time of isolation from others. It can become lonely, scared, and fearful but, this is the time to focus on the things you need to sustain who you must become. It’s in those dark places that God begins to create most of his work in you. Again, this is the molding period remember God is the “Potter” and you are the “Clay”. Okay, but how does a butterfly relate to us still? Good question, a butterfly must stay within the cocoon for a certain amount of time before it can be released. If the butterfly is too early it is underdeveloped, just as you and I. When a butterfly becomes uncomfortable and no longer can fit in the cocoon what happens? It begins to break out and spread its wings…right? correct, so look at yourself. When you have the confidence, strength, and boldness of who you are and what God has called you to be you break out.
The breakout period is you stepping into who you are and what was being done in that time of isolation. I know there are times where you wish, you hadn’t gone through or experience that life situation but, it was part of the plan. If you only had good days and no bad, how would you blossom. Unfortunately, you wouldn’t have because, you haven’t given yourself that time to be molded and shaped. What I am saying is this, the butterfly eventually outgrew its cocoon as it metamorphosis into the most beautiful insect. When a butterfly flies its light, vibrant, unique, free in its own way, that it’s not compared to other insects.

The butterfly is free, as the vibrant color allows us to see the transformation, that aww people until this day. Look at yourself as a butterfly undeveloped, ready to be used in being developed until the light creates its vibrant colors. During the metamorphosis the butterfly is patiently waiting. Have you ever had a butterfly land on you? If you have, ask yourself how did you feel emotionally inside? It takes lots of patients in order to achieve proper healing. When the healing is done there is a light people notice inside of you. That light is God allowing you to shine before the world so they can see your transformation. One last question… Are you ready for the light to shine so people can see the great works the creator has done in you?
